Just over a year than a year “QUIT” , Took It version store , bat- ok –phone dead already used insurance, ” so I’so I’m a fisherman “. Phone is just dead offered to let me have a loaner for 100 bucks return ok no return 250. for a a refur. no way .may go to alt ell same company.

@ Sahas. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I just noticed Ian as the author, below, where it states you edited it. My eyes aren’t what they used to be, and I think I’ll be going to get a new pair. The smaller text is getting harder to see. I’m trying to force most sites, to use a size 9 font minimum, but it doesn’t work everywhere yet.

I just got my Android yesterday. I’ve yet to put a lot on it, as I’m new to these types of phones, but so far I love it. It comes with a bunch of
Not only, is a great replacement, for my basic cell phone, but the OS works flawlessly. I think it displays webpages awesomely, and all I need to do is drag my finger around to see other parts of the page, when it is displaying it as you would see it on a larger screen!

I am going to start downloading some games, and apps for it tomorrow. Already a few people with other types of 3G phones, like an iPhone, or blackberry, have come over after noticing it, and want to check it out.

One of them stated he will convert, in a few Months, when his contract is up. He said hates his iphone, and that he had a phone with Win CE 6 before that, and didn’t like it either.

All in all, I’m glad I waited, and found this review.

Windows Mobile based phones are not much of a contender in this battle. No one has been looking for a “WINTEL Killer” since the iPhone SDK was released.

Android is not the “iPhone Killer”. No one is asking “will Android beat the iPhone?” The question is “will phones BASED on Android outsell the iPhone?” The answer is unclear, but it is my belief that Android’s feature set is too attractive for large companies to ignore, and Apple can’t beat them all.

I think you are missing the whole point of Android. I don’t think it is meant to be an ‘iPhone Killer’ as such. It IS meant to be a WINTEL killer.

I had an HP laptop which I gave to my son. I now need a new one and friends and fanily say spend more and get the Apple. The difference between the Dell XPS 1340 and Apple Macbook Pro 13″, both with extended warranties etc is about $800. My grown kids say pay for the Apple but I’m torn; it’s alot of money. Can anyone help me make a decision? Is there another laptop that I should consider? Please help!

What? I love this phone! Apart from the fact that you have to connect this phone to your computer using a usb cable, this phone has many great qualities. QWERTY keyboard, easy to use menus, and absolutely spectacular sound quality via inner speakers. Plus the fact that it’s built surprisingly well and doesn’t seem like it will fall apart if you drop it from too high like the older Sidekicks. That doesn’t include the fact that since the outer screen is so small, it won’t scratch as easily as a larger outer screen. I am definitely happy with my new phone and I hope to someday get the LG enV2.

I actually just purchased the Studio XPS 16. I got mine with a 2.53GHz Core 2 processor with ATI Radeon 4670 1GB video RAM. If you are gonna do any heavy editing or gaming, I would recommend going with the XPS 16, also you can get an RGBLED screen. Just shop around, you can probably find a pretty good deal on the Dell.

These comments have been very helpful as I too am toggling between a mac (15″) and the XPS (16″). Someone please check these specs and tell me which seems better:
2.13GHZ Core 2 w/ ATI 3670 512 MB video card vs
2.66GHZ Core 2 w/ NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M + 9600 M with 256 MB video card
I would appreciate the feedback.
In other words which is more important: the higher GHZ or the larger MB video card. I use Adobe graphics products like CS4 web design.
Also, how soon before the 256 video card will become obsolete?
Will everthing be 512 MB video card in the near future?
While I like the Mac this 256 MB video card seems to be a real deal breaker not to mention a $$$$$$$$$$ issue (to go to a 512 MB video card on a mac pro is a significant price difference and you can not upgrade the video card at a later date on a mac pro …. Please enlighten!
