I’ve noticed the turning off randomly too. I go to school from 8 til 3 and i never use my phone during. i’ll notice after school that it’s on and when i go to text it shuts off in the middle of my text. my battery definitely isn’t overheating,considering i hadn’t used my phone all day. i’ll also notice where i’m waiting for a text, then i look at my phone 10-15 min. later and its off. It makes me angry… plus my bottom row of keys on the internal side all don’t light up. makes it hard to text in the dark.

Here’s a question I hope someone can answer: In Nov. 2009, my working terrifically Voyager (orig. model)was replaced by me cause I got the Droid as a birthday gift. I spoke with Verizon techs and folks in the store about getting my purchased ringtones off my Voyager and onto the Droid. Reality: they appear on the MyVerizon site but are greyed out – not available – for the promised download. After much aggravation, someone in a Verizon store finally said that the tones can’t work on the Droid, it needs another format & that’s why I can’t download them. Well, can anyone help me “crack” the twice purchased protected ringtones? (I bought them for a previous Verizon phone & had to buy them again for the Voyager)I paid 2x for them & just want to put them on my PC so I can change their format & use them on the Droid? Hackers can do anything, so why is this so hard? And why is Verizon not training their people? Or is it just that they want the sale more than the customer?

Alright so I’ve had this phone for almost a year. I’ve had it replaced 5 times. And each one has a different problems. The first one the USB/Charger port broke so I couldn’t charge my phone. & same thing with the second one. & the third one. Then the fourth one because the screen cracked with was really weird because it wasn’t on the outside of the touch screen, it was the inside of the touch screen. The fifth one because it turns off ar random times when I’m on the phone, & in the middle of very long text messages. But, now I can’t change my phone again because I will have to pay. Right now my current voyager, when I try to touch the message button on the main screen, it touch shortcut menu, and when I try to press it again, it touched the top left button and I get really pissed off when this happens. It turn off randomly and it still sucks, and then when I listen to the speaker it makes this horrible beeping sound with irritates me because when it’s quiet and I’m texting someone that’s all I hear. This phone is garbage I wouldn’t recommend this phone to anyone!!

could be the headphone jack problem. I posted it on top of what I mean. But its strange that you can hear them on speaker. I couldn’t hear on speaker or anything. Well good luck if my fix don’t work. (Not my fix realy I found the answer on a diff fourm a month or two ago =P)

They stopped selling Voyagers cause they got introuble with using that name. They replaced the Voyager with LG enV3 but they made some chages to them. Next time ask them to give you the LG enV3 as a replacement since thats what they did to replace the Voyager. Yeah my charging port is messed up and my battery does not hold at all. It would start to die on me after talking for only 5 minutes and I just took it off charge and it said battery was full so yeah. But I can’t complaine. I got this phone for $100 off craigs list and it looked used. Maybe if I buy a new battery it will hold longer but who knows. I think I should save up to buy a new phone.

I had the same problem too. I found the fix. Since you have data on that card I would back up all of it first onto a computer because the fix will erase everything off ur miniSD Card. After you backed it up, put the card into ur phone. Then go to Menue>Setting & Tools>Memory>Card Memory> Then click the button that says Options. When you click it, it will bring up a task menue to format. You want to hit ok to format the card. By formating it erases the data on the card but makes it readable to you’re phone. Once you have done that, you can now add mp3’s and be able to hear them via Vcast Player or on the phone its called My Music. I know this was posted a long time ago but I just wanted to write this to any one new showing up to this site and maybe help them as well. =)

I read not too long ago that the reason the phone restarts or also frezzes is because when the battery gets a lil warm the auto shutoff takes effect. Its in the manual. If you feel that the battery is getting too warm then just let the phone rest a lil. It shuts off so the battery does not get damanged in which it could leak or blow up lol. So that shut off is nice for us but sucks at the same time. I think they came out with a software upgrade so the phone will let the battery get a lil warmer then it should and give you longer play time but don’t quoute me on that. I only think not know this, only because I skimmed on that issue. My charger port is the issue =P

Its the hands free head jack problem. When you plug in the headset into the phone it turns off the speakers so that you can only hear from the head set. But when you pull the headset out of the phone the software does not pick that up so it keeps it in headset mode. What to do.. just call ur voice mail and once it starts talking plug the jack into you’re phone untill you can finally hear it out of ur speakers. (Do that fliped open so you can hear it on speaker phone, its what I did). It took me only once to plug it in and unpluging it to have it fixed. But I’ve read that some people had to do it 20 or more times b 4 it worked. Its a software issue, strange huh. Well I hope this helps you out and many others who read this =)

I have no sound when my phone is closed . I can only use it when it is flipped open . When it is close , people can here me , i just cant hear them . I am at a total loss ?

That is the main reason why I had to get it replaced today, for the 17th time. There is nothing that can be done. They just have to replace it.

The Voyager is probably Verizon’s WORST phone, Ever. I had it for about 2 years, and during that time (Verizon told me this today) I have replaced it once a month for the full two years. Today, 6 months before my scheduled upgrade, I finally lost it and demanded a new phone. I literally could not take it anymore, This was the third time this week they had replaced it. PLUS, they never have it in stock because they discontinued it for being a peice of crap and therefore I had to go without a phone for two days at a time, each time they replaced it. The charging port always broke. The battery never held charge. It randomly shuts off. The touch screen is crap. WORST. PHONE. EVER.

Tom – I am on my third Voyager too. Each one is worse than the previous, and I believe that when they replaced mine in July, it was a refubished one. They don’t make them anymore (at least you don’t see it on the website anymore). It’s terrible. And if I try to upgrade prior to the new every two, I lose the “$100″ credit or whatever it is towards a new phone. I would go back to AT&T and get an iPhone, but I cannot get service in my building with AT&T and my family is on Verizon. Ugh!

That really bothers me… not with LG, but with Apple. There have been lots of reports of major compatibility issues with the new Snow Leopard.

For example, apparently Photoshop CS3 won’t even work. I doubt people would want to pay a couple hundred bucks just go get the newest version…

I think they want you to buy an iPhone :)

I had the same issue and it was the battery, bought another from Amazon and issue is gone. Yes my battery checked out as okay but it was not. I have a feeling that at the store they gave you a new phone and used your old battery.

My Voyager keeps loosing sound….I can’t hear anything when people talk? Txt and camera, etc. still working, just no sound? Any ideas????
