WMP for file/mp3 transfer suck. Better USB mass storage device and copy-paste. MTP/Portable device format is just another way to control your content.

You have to convert them on the video converter program that you can find from the same place as the media library and then they’ll be transferred into your zen.

I have this and I absolutely love it. 16gb player cost me about 180$, it works like a dream and actually I enjoy watching videos on this one. The colors don’t look any different on my player.

Only thing I wish it had was a queue option.

OK so first of al, like every one else, id like to thank you for writing this amazing review for the creative zen. Now heres a little from me.
Ok so, i was never really a big fan of the ipod nanos or shuffles, they lokked cheesy, but this creative zen was a tootal dream come true. I had it for 3 months but some how it messed up,it said reload firmware or somthing. Aftter that i was and stilll considering about getting the ipod touch. But reembering the great times i had with my zen won my heart. And now im purchasing a zen again and treating it with lots of care.Its somthing creative should be proud of. And its somthing rare and new. Not like what every one else has, you know the usual ipod nanos, i mean, every ones got one of those but the creative zen is better cheaperand totllly worth it. Each and every penny. So overall great review. And i Rreally apprecaite the choice i made.

Update to my last post: I chanced my piece of ZEN to 16 GB version. After 5 months no disfunctions appeared. Good piece of tech when functioning ok….

I’ve had my Creative Zen for a year. Twenty of my ESL students also have them. I recommend they buy a 4Gb and stick in a 16Gb card. A brilliant little machine that I use every single day.

Great piece of tech just as described. My company bought two of these and both have major disfunctions at this point (bought 4months ago). Another wont start time to time and another does start but only white screen on it. Resetting and nothing helps so these will be headed back….

Yeah Thankx 4 the reveiw…i bought 1 recently and i have to say i was quite impressed, you can add your own screensavers, and listen to the radio…and it isn’t as difficult adding media to it as much as the ipod…creative gets a 5 from me…

Thank you skattertech.com, this review is very detailed and has a lot of information to it. It helped me a lot. I would like ot buy this if only my parents let me. The last Creative Mp3 I got was a the Creative Nano and it was very good, this looks even better!!!!!!!!!! lol :D

i’ve had the zen four 2 days now and it’s fantastice the software is great. I have 14 videos ranging between 2 minutes and 15 minutes and 75 songs. 173 photos and my sd card ( kingston 1gb) Holds two movies every4 days i get 2 different ones. it takes about 21 minutes to download and convert each of them with the software i use. It’s GREAT PEOPLE BUY IT. Plus 2 years warranty!!!!!!!

good choice for zen to buy because of its feature, but not for the price, in my country, (indonesia) zen is more expensive than nano 3rd gen, sell at US$142 (4gb) while nano 3rd gen is US$126 with the same capacity.

Its a super thingie xD I had it more than month and im satisfied . Shame its not working with Mac OS X i tryed it myself it only works as SD card reader tho no access to main memory .

I have a couple of objections though-I’m referring to Creative Zen vs. iPod Nano 3rd gen. because these are the two players I’m interested in. First of all, in Zen report you are saying ”an disappointing 320 by 240 pixels”,while in the Nano, although it has the same numbers, you think of it as an satisfying and good analysis. Secondly, the quality of videos displayed in Zen is much better compared to Nano, due to bigger(2.5 inches), efficient and full of vivid colours screen. Nevertheless, the final score is a poor 3.5 for Zen and a very generous 5 for Nano(which has a tiny,tiring for our eyes screen). These were my comments. Thanks again for your time.
