Verizon Wireless - Moto KRZR - September 29, 2006
Looking for a new phone? Well the brand new Motorola KRZR K1m is now available through Verizon Wireless. After being frowned upon for being the last cell phone provider to get the RAZR, VZW is now the first to get the new KRZR. This new RAZR-like phone features a 1.3MP camera, Mp3/Mp4 playback (plus V Cast Music/Video), MicroSD expansion slot, Bluetooth, and Verizon’s V Cast services. The KRZR has now has many of the features that the RAZR lacked, which include external music controls (touch sensitive), a more robust battery life, and a slightly larger internal storage capacity.
Anyways if you wish to get one it is available online now for $199 with a new 2-year contract and $99 for existing customers who are eligible for upgrade. (Note: Won’t be in stores until October 5th) Although we havn’t had a hands-on-review yet, by the looks of it, it seems as though it will be a pretty good phone, despite the fact that it is a bit pricy. Also Skatter Tech will be getting a KRZR by Monday (10/02/06), so check back and expect an in depth review with plenty of pictures soon!

Windows media player 10 will sync songs to the KRZR. Driver software is on the motorola web site

i am trying to put mp3 ringtones on my Krzer so i went to the website http://aznuwee.googlepages.com/ and for some reason P2KCommander V3.2.2 can not open. Is there another website i can find it on? Please help.

I got a memory card for my Krzr, put songs on my phone with it, but I can’t use them for my ringtones, The songs are just in my music library! How do I use these songs for my ringtones

I have a previous post on downloading ringtones via http://www.myxertones.com. Try it, it worked for me.

I just recieves the new krzr of verizon, and it has it where you cannot set any ringtones that you send to your fone. Does anybody know another way to override that?!

I have krzr with Verizon service. I have a major problem with my battery going dead in a few hours after charging all night. I’m on my second battery. Is there anyway I can get better battery life.

I just got the KRZR on monday, and my problem is whenever I go and try to put music on my sd card, it wont recognize it on the phone. I snyc the music from my comp to the sd card, put the card in my phone, go to “music” and then go to “all my music,” and it tells me that I have no music on the card. then. i reconnect the card to the comp, and go to try and sync it again, and it recognizes all the songs I just put on…why won’t my phone show the songs, or let me play them?

I downloaded videos from my computer to the SD chip, put the chip on my phone, the videos are there (the memory confirms this) but they are not available to play. Am i hosed? I dont see any media players? Is it proprietary? Am I scewed?

can anyone tell me how to put music onto my KrazrK1 i live on an island called Guam and no it’s not backwards but i don’t have that many options can you guys just give me simple solutions i thought i had a memory card with my Krazr but i guess i don’t my only storage device is my phone

I have a Moto krzr and I can’t change my text messaging ring tone the last person that told me how to said: to go into (Settings) then to (ringer styles) then to (loud detail) and it should say calls, text messaging, voice mail, etc but mine does not say text messaing it says inbox where text messaging should be. And changing inbox does not work please help me.

PLEEEZZ HELP!! i hav had my phone for almost a year and I have never tried to download ringtones from a site before. and now that i hav from http://www.myxertones.com i can’t set them as ringtones. it really makes me madd. Pleaaze tell me if there is anyway to set sounds as ringtones or set music from sites as ringtones! thankss!!!!

i really need some help with this phone. i have been on every forum site available and no one will answer my question. when i plug in my krzr via USb the found new hardware wizard comes up and says this wizard will insatll software for motorola K1m/L7c, I have all the other drivers but this one (or so i am guessing) how can i solve this issue i cant connect my phone to anything RSD,P2k,MPT,MSU none of them. email me with any help jesandrw4@hotmail.com

Ok i’ve downloaded P2k Commander and i hav a krzr i also have MSU when i plug my phone into the computer it says there are no more updates so i open P2k commander and then go to mobile phone it loads, then i try to click on the folder or watever it is on the mobile phone side it starts with a. And it acts like its loading but then shuts down WHY??? pleas help!!

When i got the phone i could receive pictures from people fine but now when i get them it doesnt download them it just has a little clock in the corner of the envelope and doesnt do anything. did i accidentally change a setting on the phone without realizing it or sumthing? id appreciate some help on how to fix this.

i havent met a single person that has liked this phone. it’s like a very slow computer and it breaks on me all the time.

You guys all ask alot of the same questions about ringtones on the K1m with Verizon. PLEASE READ THROUGH THE PREVIOUS PAGES ABOUT HOW TO DO THIS. The link: http://aznuwee.googlepages.com/ still works and I still use P2K fine. Follow the instructions! There are limitations to making your own ringtones and using them. READ THEM. P2K is in a .rar format. YOU NEED “WINRAR” to unzip it! GOOGLE WINRAR and download/install it. If you have USB connection lockups or bootouts…use a different USB cable and/or USB port on your PC. If you can’t receive pictures from people sending them, maybe you should try deleting old junk off to make room or buy a micro SD card for more room. When was the last time you all did a *228 to update your phone?
You can play any .mp3s on your phone and the speaker is pretty good. Get a micro SD card and play em from there. Hopefully you have a media slot on your PC and an SD adapter to dump em on your card first. If you have no micro SD card, you will have to keep trying to get MSU and P2K to work. If not you can try to get V-Cast Music essentials to work from Verizon:

Not sure about it but I think the phone MP3 player does not play WMA format songs. They need to be MP3’s.

What is the *228 equivalent in Canada? Also, I have 2 USB ports on my laptop, tried them both, tried different cord, tried different phone(have 2 KRZR’s) The blue one is GARBAGE, and the Red one, my boyfriend’s works great for him. He gets signal when I don’t, he can letter scroll thru phonebook, i never could, anyhow..I have many issues with my phone, but right now, I want to get pics of my phone. Could before, can’t now. Need a driver pleaseeeeeeee
