Agent 18 Shield for iPod Video - December 5, 2005

iPod Video Agent 18 Case

Skatter Tech recently reviewed the Agent 18 case for the iPod Nano and now the same company has released a very simliar shield for the iPod Video. There are two versions available: one for the 30GB model and one for the thicker 60GB model. Both models will cost $24.99. Although Apple includes a softcase with the iPod (video) now, it is still worth buying an extra case because you will need to constantly be removing it from the case to control your unit. The Agent 18 Video Shield will protect all of the iPod, including the screen. They have left cutouts for bottom connector port, the hold switch, headphone slot, and the control wheel. Another case, for the iPod Video, that has recieved a good review is the Belkin Kickstand Case. (See links for images, info, and more…)

Hey i am planing on buying an ipod in 2 days and i need a cover for it for when i go on my trip. Does anyone know if this is a really god cover or if there is a better one?

I bought an Agent18 Video Shield….yes, it is clear all around. It’s sturdy and the buttons and headphone port are all very accessible. I would suggest getting a clear screen protector for it as the plastic will eventually scratch. I’m getting ready to buy another as a gift. There is no belt clip, but I didn’t really need one.

Actually you can get this case with a belt clip if you get the VideoSheild Kit. You can check it out here.

I’m considering getting this case but I haven’t decided yet…

Try invisible shield. now its a pain in the arse to put on.. someone suggested using soapy (lightly soapy water). once you move it and it sets… its set. it makes the ipod less sticky and you have a hard squgee to squeeze out bubbles. If you dont have patience (which seems to be a growing trend) this isnt for yout BUT if you can must about 30 minutes of sitting still and being careful Invisible shield will protect your ipod greatly. They use this type of material in the military to protect rotor blade edges. its clear.

Well, it is good, i suggest that you get a plastic cover for the vide first, and then get the Agent 18 Case Shield. This way, you have two protections. You get the Plastic first layer protection from dust and stuff, then you get the Agent 18 video case from side scratches, so “Maybe”if u sell it, you can get it in mint condition, even though it is used!
See Ya!

Ok I have an Ipod video 60gb with an agent 18case and I was running on the treadmill at 10mph and I dropped my ipod on the treadmill.the ipod went flying against the wall and it was still playing!!!! I heard they are bullet proof too

glavin googis says

i had an agent 18 case for my mini, and i was using it while bike riding, i had a bit of an accident and landed directly on my ipod, the screen was destroyed through the case, but the ipod kept playing, agent 18 is absolute shit, and if it had been any other model of ipod it would have siffered worse damage

Janis says

I’ve now had my Agent 18 cover for my video Ipod for almost 2 years….I’ve dropped it while on the treadmill, it’s fallen out of my purse onto pavement(oops!) and still no problems. I still keep a screen protector on it and have replaced that a couple of times. My Ipod still looks BRAND NEW. …and Glavin Googis….I don’t know what you expect, but I’d suggest that next time you fall off your bike, try not to land on your ipod…..have a great day!
