TiVo Desktop 2.1 +
TiVo released an update for their “TiVo Desktop” program. (2.0->2.1) The main feature they included was the ability to transfer the shows from your TiVo to Portable Media Devices. The second thing they did was removed the password feature, so you don’t need to re-enter a password every single time you want to watch a show. The DRM protection has also been improved so it can no longer be ripped or cracked by 3rd party applications. This means it will no longer be possible to convert the videos into other formats. This update is only for Windows XP/2000. MAC users will need to wait a long time before it becomes avaliable for them. If you want to convert videos to other formats I recommend not updating.
